Job summary

Corewell Health Nutrition Services is seeking a part-time team member to support patient meal service and act as a peer guide for Associate Techs. You will help ensure compliance with safety and quality initiatives while collaborating with nutrition staff to maintain service continuity.

You will prepare and serve meals, manage trays, and assist with cleaning and sanitation. The role emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and teamwork in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience Food Service preferably in health care or related field.
• CRT-Accredited Food Handler - ANSI National Accreditation Board 90 Days.
• CRT-Accredited Food Allergy Certificate - ANSI National Accreditation Board 90 Days.
• CRT-Accredited Food Protection Manager, CFP - ANSI National Accreditation Board 90 Days.
• Preferred Associate's Degree Hospitality or Nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains serving lines including dishes, silverware, hot and cold food items, condiments, etc.
• Prepares and assembles cold food items such as salads, desserts and nourishments and ensures proper storage, refrigeration and dating.
• Serves food as directed, replenishing items as needed.
• Cleans and resets food stations and equipment.
• Delivers patient trays to rooms with accurate room, bed, patient name and birth date checks.
