Corewell Health’s Nutrition Services team at the Troy Hospital is hiring a Part-time Patient Meal Service Aide. You will support tray assembly, call center duties, delivery and pickup of meals, and stock management, with full training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and communicate effectively in English.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient meal service including accurate portioning and presentation of menu items, set up of tray assembly station, and tray assembly.
• Transport tray carts and deliver trays to patients, collect soiled trays and return to kitchen, stock, distribute and/or collect patient menus.
• Perform call center duties including answering multiple line phones and inputting patient selections while ensuring dietary restrictions and special needs are respected.
• Obtain and document patient food and beverage selections and preferences as directed.
• Operate dish machine, wash, sanitize and store pots and pans; maintain sanitation standards.
• Maintain work area with stock management and safety standards.
• Transport food carts within the department and to patient care areas.
• Identify opportunities for waste reduction and service improvements.
• Meet productivity, regulatory compliance, and service standards.
