Job summary

Montebello Unified School District is seeking a Nutrition Services Manager to plan, organize and direct district-wide nutrition activities. The role oversees menu planning, production, delivery and service for multiple programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state and district rules.

The incumbent will supervise staff, provide training, and coordinate with site leaders to promote nutrition education and wellness across schools. Strong leadership and budgeting skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field required.
• RD preferred but not required; licensure may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, directing Nutrition Services operations.
• Oversee menu planning, food production, distribution and service for multiple programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and district policies and grant requirements.
• Supervise staff, evaluate performance and provide in-service training.
• Collaborate with district personnel and parents to promote nutrition education and wellness.
