Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital is seeking a dedicated Nutrition Services supervisor to manage opening and closing duties, balance cash registers, and oversee department sanitation and temperature logs. You will ensure timely delivery of food and services to patients and customers.

Strong leadership in a hospital setting, adherence to safety guidelines, and experience with diet terminology are valued. Various shifts available, full-time or part-time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior food service or supervisory experience preferred.
• Good customer relations and ability to follow instructions.
• Knowledge of dietary terminology and sanitation certification.

Responsibilities

• Processes phone and faxed orders.
• Checks patient tray line.
• Closes out registers and balances after meals.
• Maintains safe balance.
• Monitors temperatures of food, cooler, freezer, and dish machine.
• Assists in training staff.
• Covers staffing shortages.
• Fills stock orders.
• Completes tray line and sanitation audits.
• Issues disciplinary action for minor infractions.
• Assists in employee performance evaluations.
