Milestone Senior Services in Kalamazoo, MI is hiring a Nutrition Programs Supervisor to support the Nutrition Programs Manager and oversee Home Delivered Meals and Congregate Dining operations for Kalamazoo/Calhoun Counties.

You will coordinate kitchen staff and drivers, schedule MOW volunteers, maintain CAREeVantage records, ensure food safety, and provide excellent customer service while upholding Michigan health codes and program standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with some background or experience in nutrition and gerontology helpful.
• Two-year’s experience supervising staff and/or volunteers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Nutrition Program Manager with activities to ensure that client needs are met in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Coordinates daily operations with kitchen staff and drivers, as needed.
• Responsible for Meals on Wheels (MOW) volunteer scheduling in partnership with the Volunteer Services team.
• Responsible for covering any open-paid or volunteer routes.
• Responsible for covering any open congregate meal sites.
• Conducts biweekly audits of agency vans to ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness.
• Assists in oversight of daily program operations including program staff, operations of the congregate meal sites, Home Delivered Meals, and volunteer MOW distribution sites.
• Enters congregate meal service data on a weekly basis.
• Responsible for daily functions, such as bag labeling, route sheets, kitchen sheets, meal deliveries, call-backs, menus, and meal site correspondence.
• General office duties as assigned, to include answering phone, filing, copying, data entry, catering and other necessary duties as assigned. Maintains accurate HDM records in CAREeVantage for all funding sources, making daily adjustments for canceled and undeliverable meals.
• Works with the Nutrition Department team to improve customer service. Maintains Food Safety Certification and adheres to all Michigan State Health Codes and OSA program standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
