Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins Medicine seek a Clinical Nutrition Supervisor to lead staff involved in patient care and nutrition support. You will schedule, supervise, and optimize food service and formula preparation while ensuring care plans are followed by the team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Make staffing decisions and supervise staff responsible for direct patient care and snack/formula prep.
  • Resolve food service and computer-related issues to minimize impact on patient care.
  • Implement and follow the physician’s nutrition care plan as directed by the clinical dietitian.
  • Make decisions affecting patient care per department policy and procedures.
  • Assist with department cost containment by managing orders to control costs and overtime.

As the Clinical Nutrition Supervisor, you will:
  • Be responsible for making staffing decisions and supervise the staff who are responsible for direct patient care and the preparation of snacks and complicated infant formulas
  • Resolve food service issues as well as computer-related issues to minimize any interference with patient care
  • Implement the nutrition care plan as ordered by the physician and as planned by the clinical dietitian
  • Make decisions impacting patient care according to departmental policy and procedures
  • Be responsible for assisting with department cost containment by implementing and cancelling orders to control costs and minimizing overtime while ensuring appropriate staffing levels

Shift:

Full Time (40 hours)

Rotating Shift

Weekend work required

Salary Range:

Minimum 18.40/hour - Maximum 32.21/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
