Job summary

Luzerne County Head Start is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker for the 10-month school year. You will prepare meals for children and align with Head Start philosophy within a school setting. The role runs 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, August through June, with summer break.

This position requires current Background Clearances and proof of appropriate education/credentials. A $500 sign-on bonus is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Luzerne County Head Start requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances (3) per state/federal laws and regulations. Proof of education and credentials meeting the minimum qualifications of the job.

Hours & Salary

Part Time/10-month school year position- August-June annually, with an established summer break between school years.
Work Schedule: 20 hrs/wk (4 hour days, M-F)
Pay Rate: $13.99/hr
