Job summary

Luzerne County Head Start is seeking a classroom assistant to join a team supporting 3- and 4-year-old students. You will work with the lead Teacher and Associate Teacher as a third member in the classroom, helping implement engaging educational activities to promote school readiness.

Applicants with experience with young children and bilingual English/Spanish abilities are preferred. The position is full-time for the school year (August–June) with a summer break, offering health insurance,

Conditions of Employment
Luzerne County Head Start requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances (3) per state/federal regulations. Proof of education required to meet the qualifications for position.

Hours & Salary
Full Time (37.5 hrs/wk),10-month position working a school year August -June annually with an established summer break between school years.
Rate of Pay: $14.65/hr.
For those who possess Bilingual Abilities (Eng/Spanish) – 5% additional pay
