Job summary

Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) seeks an Infant/Toddler Instructional Assistant to aid teaching staff in creating a safe, nurturing environment for infants and toddlers. You will supervise children, assist with daily routines, and help maintain classroom documentation, with coverage to sustain proper ratios during staff breaks.

Role supports dual language instruction where applicable and emphasizes collaboration, reliability, and adherence to licensing standards.

Qualifications

• No prior education or experience required.
• Must meet Oregon Early Learning Division requirements within 4 months.
• Infant-Toddler CDA or equivalent certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching staff in providing a safe, healthy, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Supervise infants and toddlers in classrooms and on playgrounds using positive guidance techniques.
• Assist with daily routines, including diapering, toileting, dressing, mealtimes, and transitions.
• Provide classroom coverage to maintain child-to-teacher ratios during staff breaks or absences.
• Maintain cleanliness of classrooms, toys, furniture, and supplies.
