Job summary
Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) is hiring an Infant Toddler Instructional Assistant to support teaching staff in infant and toddler classrooms. You will assist with diapering, meals, routines, and provide coverage to maintain child-to-teacher ratios when needed.
No formal education required, with opportunities to meet Oregon Early Learning Division requirements for higher levels. Metro locations offer higher wages. Benefits include health, retirement, paid leave, and more.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or Diploma de Educacion Secundaria required.
- Infant-Toddler CDA certificate or 1-year Oregon community college certificate with early childhood development training required.
Responsibilities
- Assist teaching staff in maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Supervise infants and toddlers in classrooms and on playgrounds.
- Assist with daily routines including diapering, toileting, dressing, meals, and transitions.
- Support classroom activities such as free play, story time, and learning centers.
- Maintain cleanliness of classrooms, toys, furniture, and supplies; assist with light cleaning and laundry.
- Provide coverage to maintain child-to-teacher ratios during breaks or planning time.
