Job summary

Aventura at Oakwood Village is seeking an experienced Unit Manager to lead the nursing team and deliver compassionate, resident-centered care in a long-term care setting.

You will oversee clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote safety, quality, and resident satisfaction. A BSN is preferred and RN/LPN licensure in Ohio is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• RN or LPN license in the state of employment.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric nursing.
• At least 1 year of Unit Manager experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs to ensure quality resident care.
• Monitor resident health status with timely assessments, care planning, and documentation.
• Conduct daily rounds to evaluate care, staff performance, and unit operations.
• Oversee admissions, transfers, and discharges of residents.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, medication administration, and safety protocols.
• Schedule, train, and evaluate nursing staff; mentor and develop team members.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and staff development.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives.
