Job summary

South Shore Health System is seeking a Unit Coordinator/PAC for the Parent Child Division in Massachusetts. You will coordinate nursing staff, patients, physicians, and visitors, performing front desk and registration tasks to support efficient unit operations.

Responsibilities include registering patients, collecting accurate demographic/insurance data, managing newborns, and ensuring smooth handoffs between shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately.
• Demonstrated competency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Technical knowledge base of PCs and telecommunications.
• Minimum education - High School Diploma/GED preferred, Associate’s Degree in Business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing staff, patients, physicians, and visitors within the Parent Child Division.
• Register patients and handle front desk duties to facilitate unit operations.
• Maintain patient records and process admissions/discharges.
• Ensure accuracy of demographic and insurance information.
• Use Epic Unit Manager and SSH applications to support daily workflows.
• Provide excellent customer service.
