Qualifications

• High school or equivalent plus formal specialized, short-term training in basic patient care.
• Six months of direct patient care experience required.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients and documents actions in patient record.
• Monitors patients and collects information for documentation.
• Records vital signs in patient record.
• Cleans units and stores equipment; empties trash and sharps.
• Stocks supplies and inventories equipment.
• Delivers specimens, x-rays, blood and food trays.
• Performs basic clerical duties and uses PACIS.
