Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Nursing Support Technician (NST) to assist licensed clinicians and provide age-appropriate patient care in inpatient settings. The NST maintains a safe environment, collects information, communicates effectively, and performs delegated tasks under supervision.

Under RN/LPN/physician supervision, the NST supports personal care, activities of daily living, and comfort measures while participating in advocacy, teaching, and quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• One of: Georgia Nursing Assistant Certification; PCT program; Basic Nursing Fundamentals course.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Support patient safety, comfort measures, and nourishment in inpatient settings.
• Assist with information collection, effective communication, and documentation under supervision.
• Participate in patient advocacy, teaching, and performance improvement activities.
• May be cross-trained to serve as patient safety monitor or unit clerk.
