Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Nursing Support Technician (NST) to assist with basic patient care under supervision of licensed staff in inpatient settings. You will help with activities of daily living, monitor patient comfort, and ensure a safe environment while communicating effectively with the team.

The role emphasizes patient advocacy, cultural sensitivity, and participation in quality and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, BLS certification, and nursing assistant credential are required.
• BLS and nursing assistant certification must be current.
• One of the following: GA Nursing Assistant Certification or PCT program completion or basic nursing fundamentals course.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care under supervision of licensed staff.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment and monitor patient safety.
• Advocate for patients and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.

Education

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Current Georgia Nursing Assistant Certification
