Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta seeks a Nursing Support Technician (NST) to provide age-appropriate, compassionate care under supervision of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and physicians. Inpatient setting with a focus on safety, communication, and patient advocacy.

The NST performs selected tasks and therapies, assists with daily living, and may be cross-trained to serve as a patient safety monitor or unit clerk as needed. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required or obtained.
• One of: Nursing Assistant Certification, PCT program completion, or Basic Nursing Fundamentals course.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive personal care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Maintain a safe environment, collect information, and communicate effectively with the care team.
• Utilize technology as directed and perform delegated tasks and therapies.
• Cross-train to serve as patient safety monitor and/or unit clerk as needed.
