Job summary

Southcoast Long Term Care Services seeks a Nursing Director to oversee resident care in a skilled nursing setting. You will manage licensed clinical staff, consult with physicians and management on nursing issues, and drive performance improvement within Nursing Services.

The role involves policy development, budgeting, and active participation in interdisciplinary committees to ensure high-quality geriatric care and adherence to facility standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in MA, MSN preferred.
• Three (3) or more years of geriatric care nursing and management.

Responsibilities

• Directs resident care in a skilled nursing setting and manages licensed clinical staff.
• Consults with staff, physicians, and management on nursing problems and policies.
• Maintains performance improvement activities for Nursing Services and participates in CQI.
• Assists in formulating budget and represents Nursing Services on committees.
• Ensures licensed nurses perform head-to-toe assessments and re-assessments across the lifespan.
