Job summary

Sun City Post Acute is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to oversee day-to-day nursing activities during the tour of duty, ensuring care aligns with federal, state, and local standards. The role requires collaboration with the DON/ADON and other leaders to maintain high-quality resident care.

The candidate will participate in policy development, QA activities, staff supervision, and coordination with other resident services. Strong leadership and knowledge of long-term care regulations are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist DON in directing day-to-day nursing activities per current rules and regs.
• Maintain and update policies for nursing services.
• Keep nursing references current; update reference materials.
• Ensure Nursing Service Procedures Manual is current.
• Ensure staff comply with Nursing Service Procedures Manual.
• Provide reports to the Director on nursing operations.
• Review and revise department policies and job descriptions.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident care services.
• Support QA program development and implementation.
• Participate in facility surveys and discharge plan updates.
• Assist in planning the nursing portion of discharge plans.
• Meet with nursing staff and support personnel to plan services and activities.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
• Complete accident/incident reports as necessary.
• Protect resident privacy and report violations as required.
• Report unauthorized access to facility information systems.
