Job summary

Aston Group is seeking a Nursing Manager to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, directing, and evaluating daily nursing functions while ensuring high-quality patient care. This role requires strong clinical leadership and staff supervision within a health-care setting.

The successful candidate will oversee care planning, rounds, and coordination with physicians, participate in risk assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance and safety across shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current registration and license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state employed in.
• Peripheral IV certification.
• Minimum 5+ years nursing experience in a hospital, nursing home or other healthcare setting and a minimum 1-year experience as a nurse supervisor.
• CPR/BLS certified.
• English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).

Responsibilities

• Supervises clinical care planning and delivery to ensure quality patient care.
• Assesses residents upon admission and periodically as conditions change.
• Performs rounds to evaluate patient condition.
• Delivers direct patient care when indicated (ADLs, meals, medication, and leisure activities).
• Obtains and verifies physician orders for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicates changes in patient conditions between shifts.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Participates in facility surveys and discharge planning.
• Ensures adequate nursing staff coverage for each shift.
