Qualifications

• Oversee nursing services in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.
• Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating policies and procedures for the nursing service department.
• Participate in facility committees and report on nursing program activities.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day nursing activities during your tour of duty.
• Ensure Nursing Service Procedures Manual is current and followed.
• Supervise licensed practical and/or registered nurses and nursing assistants.
• Review and update discharge plans in coordination with other departments.
• Report to the Director of Nursing Services as required and participate in QA activities.
