Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as RN in Rhode Island.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Current BLS required, ACLS, PALS and NIH Stroke certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs activities with nursing leadership to provide optimal nursing care on assigned units.
• Responds to administrative problems and requests assistance as required.
• Directs patient flow and placement to ensure high-quality care.
• Collaborates with all departments and hospital leadership.
• Manages staffing according to ANA standards to ensure adequate patient care.
• Conducts rounds to evaluate care and resource utilization.
• Provides guidance and education to staff and conducts performance evaluations.
