Job summary

Rhode Island Hospital seeks an experienced Nursing Supervisor to direct and evaluate nursing care across adult and pediatric units. You will collaborate with Nursing Administration and department leaders to ensure safe, efficient patient flow and staffing aligned with ANA standards.

Responsibilities include guiding staff, addressing administrative issues, and contributing to quality and safety initiatives. A RI RN license and nursing degree are required, with BLS/ACLS/PALS credentials expected.

Qualifications

Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island or under Nurse Licensure Compact.
Bachelor's degree in nursing with a current RI license to practice.
Complies with the Code of Professional Nurses and Nurse Practice Act requirements.
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

Directs and evaluates nursing care on adult and pediatric units under supervision of Clinical Manager.
Plan and direct patient flow and placement to optimize care delivery across units.
Collaborate with multiple departments and leadership to ensure staffing aligns with ANA standards.
Lead and coach nursing staff, provide guidance and performance feedback.
Respond to emergencies and participate in incident management and code events.
Prepare reports and participate in committees to improve administrative operations.
