Spectrum Health Systems is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to provide operational and supervisory support for the nursing staff at the Old Colony Correctional Center in Bridgewater, MA. The role ensures daily coverage, proper medication handling, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Massachusetts LPN or RN license and CPR certification.
• Experience supervising nursing staff in a healthcare or correctional setting is preferred.
• Strong independent judgment and decision-making during emergencies or staffing changes are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and supervisory support to nursing staff across assigned regions.
• Develop and maintain nursing schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
• Ensure adequate medication supply and proper on-site documentation of medications.
• Participate in on-call nursing rotation.
• Oversee control, counting and documentation of on-site medications.
• Educate patients on MAT use, side effects, and related information.
• Verify medication orders with the addiction specialist and transcribe orders.
• Assist in the admission process and document SUD diagnoses as required.

Location: Bridgewater, MA - Old Colony Correctional Center. Medication for Opioid Use Disorder ProgramSchedule: Monday - Friday 5AM-1PM on call every 6th weekend and every 6th Holiday.Salary: $93,000- $97,000.00 annual salary.Benefits:Health, dental, vision insurance/additional voluntary insurancesCompany-paid life insurance/employee assistance programsGenerous paid time off accrualTuition reimbursement/loan repayment options401k with company match up to 7%!Discounts on wide array of services/entertainment nationwideThe Nursing Supervisor is responsible for:Providing operational and supervisory support to the nursing staff in assigned regions and ensure compliance with all policies, protocols, and regulatory standards.Developing and maintain the nursing schedule at the assigned regions, ensuring adequate nursing coverage at all times.Ensuring an adequate supply of medication is maintained at the assigned sites. This includes maintaining an adequate supply of 222 forms, when ordering when necessary to prevent delays in receiving medication.Participating in on call nursing rotation.The control, counting and appropriate documentation of onsite medication.Educates patients on use, purpose, side-effects, and other information relating to medication-assisted treatment.Verifying medication orders with the qualified addiction specialist and transcribes the orders.Assisting in the admission process and documents substance use disorder diagnosis as required.Qualifications:Must have a valid Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license.Must have a current CPR certificate or obtain certificate within 90 days of hire.Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies.Supervisory experience preferredMust have proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.Experience in substance abuse/related field or acute care inpatient healthcare environment and supervisory experience highly preferred.
