Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Nursing Supervisor for the Old Colony Correctional Center in Bridgewater, MA. The role oversees nursing staff, ensures medication safety, and participates in on-call rotations. You will verify orders with specialists and document SUD diagnoses.

The schedule is Monday–Friday 5 AM–1 PM with on-call duties on certain weekends/holidays, and a salary of $93,000–$97,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts LPN or RN license.
• Current CPR certification or within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrates independent judgment to resolve problems/emergencies.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Experience in substance-use/related field or acute-care inpatient healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and supervisory support to nursing staff in assigned regions and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Develop and maintain nursing schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
• Maintain adequate medication supply at sites, including 222 forms to prevent delays.
• Participate in on-call nursing rotation.
• Control, count, and properly document onsite medication.
• Educate patients on MAT use, purpose, and side effects; ensure orders are verified with addiction specialists; transcribe orders.
• Assist in admissions and document substance use disorder diagnoses as required.

Location: Bridgewater, MA - Old Colony Correctional Center. Medication for Opioid Use Disorder Program

Schedule: Monday - Friday 5AM-1PM on call every 6th weekend and every 6th Holiday.

Salary: $93,000- $97,000.00 annual salary.

The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for:

• Providing operational and supervisory support to the nursing staff in assigned regions and ensure compliance with all policies, protocols, and regulatory standards.
• Developing and maintain the nursing schedule at the assigned regions, ensuring adequate nursing coverage at all times.
• Ensuring an adequate supply of medication is maintained at the assigned sites. This includes maintaining an adequate supply of 222 forms, when ordering when necessary to prevent delays in receiving medication.
• Participating in on call nursing rotation.
• The control, counting and appropriate documentation of onsite medication.
• Educates patients on use, purpose, side-effects, and other information relating to medication-assisted treatment.
• Verifying medication orders with the qualified addiction specialist and transcribes the orders.
• Assisting in the admission process and documents substance use disorder diagnosis as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Must have a current CPR certificate or obtain certificate within 90 days of hire.
• Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies.
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Must have proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Experience in substance abuse/related field or acute care inpatient healthcare environment and supervisory experience highly preferred.
