Job summary

William Paterson University seeks a Student Success Coordinator to manage the Nursing Enrichment and Tutoring Center (NET). You will coordinate tutors, mentor cohorts, and ensure support for at-risk undergraduate and graduate nursing students, while collaborating with the COSH and Lab teams to enhance skill-building opportunities.

You will assist with budget planning, data reviews, and program development, reporting to the Associate Dean of the School of Nursing.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required/Master’s degree in Nursing Education preferred.
Minimum 2 years experience in mentoring/tutoring/advising students.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with audiovisual equipment.
Experience with Nursing Simulation.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong presentation skills.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities

Manages the day to day operations of the Nursing Enrichment and Tutoring (NET) Center.
Works closely with coordinators to identify and support at-risk students.
Collaborates with the Skills/Sim lab coordinator to provide practice opportunities.
Manages supplemental instructional offerings in conjunction with COSH requirements.
Evaluates NCLEX pass rates and Certificate pass rates for curricular alignment.
Serves on Curriculum and Academic Standards Committees to align services.
Hires, orients, trains, and supervises nursing student tutors and mentors.
Develops and recommends a budget for NET activities.
Gathers and reviews data on student response and initiates new programs.
