Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Clinical Nursing Student for Orthopedics and Oncology at West Hospital. The role supports the RN, participates in patient care, and gains hands-on clinical experience through rotations and job shadowing.

You will assist with basic nursing tasks, data collection, and documentation within policy guidelines. Must be enrolled in a nursing program, have completed at least one clinical course and rotation, and be prepared to operate under supervision with potential BLS

Qualifications

• HS/GED is required.
• Currently enrolled in a nursing program with at least one clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN to deliver quality patient care.
• Record vital signs and patient data accurately.
• Serve as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care.
• Escalate concerns through the proper chain of command.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility as needed.
