Job summary

MENTORHILLS is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to ensure adequate nursing department staffing based on budget, census, and facility direction. You will maintain schedules, coordinate interviews, and liaise with the DNS to optimize coverage while preserving confidentiality and policy compliance.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to work with interdepartmental teams, and a commitment to a high standard of resident care and safety.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the public.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current listing of all resident care employee phone numbers and update department managers' contacts.
• Prepare nursing department schedules to ensure appropriate unit coverage.
• Assist with interviewing CNAs and coordinate candidate interviews.
• Report staffing/scheduling issues to the Director of Nursing Services (DNS).
• Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent employee information and records.
