Job summary

NORTHSTAR in is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to ensure adequate nursing department staffing aligned with budget and census targets. You will support scheduling, attendance tracking, and new hire processes, coordinating with DNS and HR to optimize coverage and compliance.

The role requires strong organization, the ability to handle sensitive information, and effective communication with interdepartmental teams.

Qualifications

• Must possess the ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family, visitors, and the public.
• Must have the ability to apply mathematical concepts and analyze staffing data.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a current listing of all resident care employee phone numbers and post department managers' numbers.
• Prepare nursing schedules to ensure adequate unit coverage.
• Coordinate interviews and orientation for new hires in the nursing department.
• Assist with maintaining attendance, tardiness, and scheduling records.
• Ensure access controls and confidentiality of residents' information are maintained.
