Legacy Healthcare is seeking a reliable Staffing Coordinator for a Skilled Nursing Facility in Chicago. The role focuses on maintaining staffing levels, building and managing staff schedules, and coordinating call-offs and replacements to ensure safe, high-quality resident care.

The ideal candidate communicates well, multitasks effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and remains calm under staffing challenges.

Qualifications

• Experience in staffing, scheduling, healthcare administration preferred.
• Experience scheduling nursing staff is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and distribute nursing staff schedules based on census and staffing requirements.
• Coordinate daily staffing for nursing departments (CNAs, LPNs, RNs).
• Respond to call-offs, late arrivals, and shortages.
• Contact qualified staff to fill open shifts and maintain coverage.
• Maintain staffing records, schedules, time-off requests, and attendance.
• Coordinate with Director of Nursing, Administrator, and supervisors on staffing needs.
• Monitor overtime, agency usage, and staffing patterns to control labor costs.
• Coordinate agency/temporary staff when needed.
• Assist with orientation and scheduling of new employees.
• Ensure staff schedules are communicated accurately and timely.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and resident information.
• Ensure staffing practices meet policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
