Job summary

Salinas Valley Health is seeking an energetic Staffing Office professional to support nursing unit staffing, scheduling, and data entry. You will coordinate daily staffing, confirm shift availability, and assist with premium pay approvals under Nursing Supervisors.

Proficiency in Windows and Active Staffer is preferred, with a high school diploma or GED required. The role requires up to date clerical skills and hospital experience; familiarity with union contracts and state nursing ratios is

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required; medical terminology desirable.
• Six months to one year recent hospital staffing/clerical experience preferred; familiarity with Microsoft Office and Windows is important.
• Experience with staffing, scheduling, and union contracts; knowledge of nursing ratios is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Staffing Office in creating and adjusting daily nursing schedules.
• Notify employees of shift availability and approve premium pay with supervisors.
• Enter and maintain data in Active Staffer and related systems; generate reports and schedules.
