Job summary

Fiesta Park Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to develop and coordinate resident care staffing schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels in clinical departments.

This full-time role works M-F 8am-5pm with after-hours and weekend call. It requires CNA or CMA licensure in the state, plus at least one year of long-term care staffing experience. Strong organizational and Microsoft Office skills are essential for payroll accuracy and scheduling efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Licensed CNA or CMA in the state practiced.
• Minimum of one-year long term care staffing experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all schedules for the nursing units and maintains four weeks of posted schedules on the nursing units.
• Oversees nursing department scheduling, including vacations and holidays.
• Performs nursing department corrective action in accordance with company policy.
• Ensures accuracy of nursing payroll, including hours worked, absences, PTO, and related data.
• Documents staffing activities and changes on staffing sheets with accuracy.
• Manages staffing, updates employee data, and audits shifts to meet scheduling requirements.
• Plans and coordinates education schedules as required.
• Assists with training of new employees and provides ongoing guidance during orientation.
• Responds to staffing inquiries and resolves scheduling issues with proper documentation.
• Completes nursing hours reports daily and processes new nursing employee paperwork.
• Keeps schedules up to date with personnel changes and communicates changes appropriately.
• Types memos for schedule changes, weekend/holiday coverage, and vacations.
• Maintains scheduling software and company systems with accurate data.
• Performs data entry and typing as required.
• Assists with scheduling resident appointments if needed.
• Fills in as needed with clinical duties within scope of practice.
• Aims to increase staff retention through efficient scheduling.
• Available after hours for on-call coverage and records hours worked.
