Job summary

ScionHealth is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to support the nursing units at Kindred Hospital Brea. You will coordinate staffing, liaise between the nursing office and other departments, assist with reports on staffing variances, and participate in recruitment activities for nursing services.

The role involves coordinating with Human Resources for hiring and orientation of new employees and maintaining accurate staffing and payroll records.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer skills required.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Good and regular attendance.
• Approximate travel: 0-10%.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains nursing department staffing records (cancellation list, float log, master schedule, attendance).
• Identifies staffing needs with the DON and initiates changes in personnel and assignments.
• Maintains payroll time sheets and makes necessary corrections.
• Completes scheduling and daily staffing sheets.
• Participates in recruitment activities for nursing services.
• Coordinates with Human Resources in hiring and orientation of new staff.
