Responsibilities

• Collaborates with nursing unit personnel to evaluate staffing numbers and skill mix every four hours.
• Determines appropriate personnel reassignments and communicates plan to all parties.
• Indicates absences and records on daily work sheets and time entry system.
• Maintains paper file with critical contact information for back-up during downtime.
• Ensures accurate data entry of patient acuity levels for decision making.
• Tracks float pool activity including overtime and reassignments.
• Monitors patient companions and placement needs.
