Job summary

Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre is seeking a nurse supervisor for nights, coordinating and delivering high-quality patient care on the unit. You will supervise assigned personnel, participate in policy development, and ensure safety, compliance, and efficient operation of the unit.

The role emphasizes leadership in nursing practice, staff development, and collaboration with operations to enhance patient satisfaction and workflow. BSN is required with 2+ years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a BSN program and 2 YOE.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum of 2 years-Nursing (Required).

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and supervision on assigned unit.
• Coordinates staffing, performance appraisals and scheduling.
• Addresses performance problems and initiates disciplinary actions as needed.
• Communicates care activities and unit information to staff.
• Supports Magnet philosophies and evidence-based practices.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and optimal resource use.
