Job summary

Geisinger in Wilkes-Barre is hiring an Inpatient RN with a hiring incentive up to $26,000 and a minimum rate of $41.41 per hour, with higher rates for experienced candidates and up to $7 in shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends. This role provides direct patient care and supervises staff on the unit, supports staffing, and aims to maintain high reliability and patient satisfaction.

Work location is a clinical inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: 2 YOE and enrollment in a BSN program.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care along with direct supervision to assigned personnel.
• Conducts performance appraisals, monitors absenteeism, schedules 24 hour staffing and patient/bed triage.
• Coordinates and communicates policies and procedures to patients, visitors and staff.
• Mentors staff and ensures staff meet regulatory requirements.
• Assists operations manager with patient-focused service rounds on assigned unit.
