Job summary

University of Kansas Medical Center seeks a Simulation Technology Specialist I to support the School of Nursing's simulation program. This part-time, on-site role requires managing high-fidelity manikins, AV systems, and related technologies to deliver safe, realistic simulation experiences.

You will work with faculty and students to ensure smooth, high-quality sessions. Required is several years of audiovisual and networking experience and at least one year with healthcare simulation equipment;

Qualifications

• Four years of audiovisual and computer networking experience.
• One year of healthcare simulation equipment experience.
• Education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot simulation equipment including manikins and AV systems.
• Set up simulation environments to reflect clinical scenarios and maintain props and supplies.
• Provide technical support before, during, and after simulation sessions.
• Record, edit, and manage audiovisual content using SimCapture and related systems.
• Train faculty, staff, and students on equipment use and AV systems.
• Collaborate with faculty to design technical components of simulations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of simulation operations.
