Job summary

Galen College of Nursing is seeking a Simulation Lab Manager to coordinate all simulation experiences across nursing programs. You will ensure adherence to Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice, supervise staff, and collaborate with clinical leaders to provide high-quality simulated learning opportunities for students.

You will oversee equipment, inventory, orientation, and training, while supporting curriculum needs and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered RN licensure in applicable state
• Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited program
• CHSE certification or eligible
• Minimum 3 years RN clinical experience
• Minimum 2 years simulation teaching experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the general operation of the simulation laboratory to provide standardized experiences
• Assist faculty and students with simulation equipment and procedures
• May serve as faculty substitute in simulation sessions
• Collaborate with leadership to train on equipment and supplies
• Maintain equipment and inventory for simulation-based experiences
• Coordinate use of clinical learning labs for classes, labs, skills and exams
• Provide orientation and training for faculty and technicians on HSSOBP guidelines
• Oversee hiring, training and mentoring of simulation staff
• Support ongoing professional development in clinical simulation
• Participate in curriculum review and policy updates related to simulation
