Job summary

Vivo Healthcare in Jacksonville seeks an experienced Nursing Supervisor to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing the Nursing Services department. You will help ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and maintain high-quality resident care.

Ideal candidates hold a nursing degree and an active RN license, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a health-care setting.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisor experience in a hospital, nursing home, or related facility.
• Current unrestricted RN license in the practicing state.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, and related laws and guidelines for long-term care.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, implementing and directing day-to-day operations of the Nursing Services department.
• Interpret and communicate policies to nursing staff and monitor practices.
• Participate in admissions decisions and management team meetings.
• Evaluate staff performance and implement disciplinary actions as needed.
• Participate in QAPI or facility assessment activities and committees.
• Oversee nursing schedules to ensure resident needs and regulatory standards are met.
• Assist in recruitment, hiring and termination of nursing staff.
• Conduct rounds to observe residents and ensure nursing needs are met.
• Promote teamwork, safety, and infection control according to guidelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to resolve issues and improve care quality.
