Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an RN - Assistant Director of Nursing to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing and directing the Nursing Services department. The role ensures the highest quality patient care while complying with regulations and Life Care standards.

The ideal candidate holds an ASN or BSN and an active RN license, with 2+ years geriatric nursing experience.

Qualifications

• ASN or BSN from an accredited college or university.
• Active RN license in good standing throughout employment.
• Two (2) years' geriatric nursing experience preferred, in post-acute care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and directing the Nursing Services department.
• Interview, select, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise nursing staff.
• Oversee care provided by nursing staff and infection control responsibilities.
• Serve as acting DON in their absence.
• Provide direct nursing care as necessary and participate in patient-focused care.
