Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an RN - Assistant Director of Nursing to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the Nursing Services department to ensure top-quality patient care in compliance with laws and Life Care standards.

The role requires an ASN or BSN, an active RN license, CPR certification, and at least 2 years in geriatric nursing, preferably post-acute care.

Qualifications

• ASN or BSN from an accredited college or university.
• RN license in good standing throughout employment.
• Minimum 2 years geriatric nursing experience, preferably post-acute care.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and directing the Nursing Services department.
• Interview, select, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise nursing staff.
• Assist with overseeing care provided by nursing staff.
• Oversee infection control responsibilities.
• Assume the duties of the DON in his or her absence.
• Provide direct nursing care as necessary.
• Perform functions of a staff nurse as required.
• Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
