Job summary

Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay in Virginia Beach, VA seeks a Director of Nursing Services (DONS) to lead Hoy Healthcare Center and Enhanced Services, ensuring regulatory compliance, clinical excellence, and resident-centered care in line with the Lighthouse Model.

Responsibilities include overseeing nursing operations, CQI initiatives, staffing, and education, while collaborating with physicians and rehab teams to maintain CMS standards and a 5 Star rating.

Qualifications

• RN license active and in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years nursing leadership experience, preferably in skilled nursing or post-acute care.
• Strong background in quality improvement, survey readiness, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with EHRs and standard business software.

Responsibilities

• Direct all nursing operations for Hoy Healthcare Center and Enhanced Services.
• Oversee high-quality resident and rehabilitation care.
• Monitor and improve clinical outcomes, including wounds, falls, infections, and weight management.
• Lead CQI initiatives and state survey preparedness.
• Manage staffing to ensure safe, effective resident care.
• Supervise and mentor clinical leaders and support recruitment.
