Job summary

Woodlands Senior Care Centers is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead the nursing department at our 5-star HamptonWoods Nursing Center. The DON will oversee clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote excellence in resident care through effective management of nursing staff and care programs.

The role requires active RN licensure, strong leadership, and extensive geriatric care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Valid state RN licensure.
• Two years of management or supervisory experience in long-term care.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Must maintain CPR certification.
• Experience supervising nursing staff and others.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the nursing department, fostering quality, safety, and resident-centered care.
• Oversee daily shift management and staffing levels to meet resident needs.
• Supervise nursing staff, including management teams and evaluations.
• Develop and review care plans aligned with regulatory standards including Medicare.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance in records and documentation.
• Utilize EMR/EHR for documentation and records management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident outcomes.
• Oversee administration of medications and therapies.
• Lead staff training on procedures, terminology, and HIPAA compliance.
