Job summary

The Harrison, a Sonida Senior Living community in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to join our care team. You will administer resident medications, follow physician orders, and may supervise CNAs while maintaining resident safety and dignity.

You will support daily living activities, assist with meals, mobility, hygiene, and monitor vital signs and intake/output using our advanced EHR systems.

Qualifications

• Licensed Medication Aide in the state.
• Experience administering resident medications.
• Ability to supervise CNAs as directed.
• Comfort with daily living assistance and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Set up and administer medications per physician orders and standards.
• Provide personal hygiene and daily living assistance.
• Assist with meals, mobility, positioning, and hydration needs.
• Monitor vitals and record intake/output using the facility systems.

Qualifications:

• You will be responsible for setting up and administering resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards of medication administration, and may supervise CNAs as directed
• Provides patients' personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths
• Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals
• Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information

Qualifications:

• Must be licensed in the state as a Medication Aide and maintain current, active, and unencumbered licensure.
