Qualifications

• Two years of nursing experience preferred, maternity experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel to meet system educational needs.
• Demonstrated ability in adult learning principles.

Responsibilities

• Promote and advocate for innovative professional development programs and curricula for clinical learners and the organization—from onboarding to expert clinicians.
• Model the application of evidence-based practices and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
• Provide strategic direction to meet educational needs identified through assessments, regulatory requirements, and quality data.
• Serve as a role model and expert for clinical educators, supporting ongoing growth and development.

Position Overview

• Promoting and advocating for innovative professional development programs and curricula that cater to the evolving needs of both clinical learners and the organization—starting from onboarding new hires and extending all the way through to expert clinicians.

• Providing strategic direction and support to meet the educational needs of staff as identified through thorough assessments, regulatory requirements, and quality outcomes data.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree of Nursing (BSN) required.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department/specialty according to patient care policies.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Two years experience preferred.
• Previous maternity experience preferred, mother baby experience preferred.
• Must have the ability and willingness to travel as needed to meet the system educational needs.
• Must have the ability to display knowledge and utilization of principles of adult learning.
