Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an onsite Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to advance caregiver education and ongoing professional development at St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT. Travel to additional locations may be required.

The role is 40 hours per week with an hourly range provided by Intermountain. The NPD Practitioner will lead orientation, coaching, and evidence-based education initiatives to enhance nursing practice and patient outcomes, while

Qualifications

BSN from an accredited institution; degree verification required.
Current RN license in the state of practice.
BLS Certification for healthcare providers.
Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development.
Demonstrated nursing experience.

Responsibilities

Learn facilitator: guide caregiver orientation, support ongoing learning, and apply adult learning principles to address gaps.
Act as change agent to promote evidence-based practices and effective orientation for new staff.
Provide coaching and mentoring to preceptors and caregivers for growth and development.
Lead interprofessional learning and pass on NPD specialization insights across care sites.
Promote inquiry and knowledge sharing to advance NPD practice and patient care.
Champion NPD value within the organization and support professional development initiatives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions for new and existing caregivers.
