Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an on-site Nursing Professional Development Practitioner for Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana. The role guides caregiver orientation, ongoing education, and coaching to promote self-reliance and teamwork within care teams.

The NPD Practitioner will coordinate learning needs across programs, support clinical coaches, and champion the NPD specialty to enhance patient outcomes. Travel between locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires a BSN and current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers is required.
• Experience in adult or staff development and nursing practice is demonstrated.
• Master's degree and NPD-BC certification are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource, consultant, and mentor to caregivers and preceptors, promoting self-reliance and teamwork.
• Collaborate to understand learning needs and ensure adoption of evidence-based practices.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to clinicians to support learning and growth.
• Facilitate interprofessional learning and advancement in nursing practice.
• Foster inquiry and sharing of new knowledge to enhance patient care.
