Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an onsite Nursing Professional Development Practitioner at the St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT. This role guides caregivers through orientation and ongoing learning, applying adult learning principles to close knowledge gaps.

The NPD Practitioner partners across disciplines to ensure evidence-based practice adoption, coaching preceptors, and advancing nursing development. Travel to different sites may be required as part of duties.

Qualifications

BSN required and RN license active in state of practice.
BLS certification required for healthcare providers.
Experience in adult or staff development.
Nursing experience demonstrated.

Responsibilities

Facilitates orientation for new caregivers and ongoing learning using standardized tools.
Collaborates to identify learning needs and ensures evidence-based practice adoption.
Coaches and mentors preceptors and caregivers for professional growth.
Leads interprofessional learning and nursing development initiatives.
Champions inquiry to advance NPD practice and patient care improvements.
Advocates for the NPD specialty within the organization.
Partners with stakeholders to support transitions and practice changes.
