Job summary

Utah Tech University invites applications for a full-time, Instructor of the Practice in Nursing in the Department of Nursing at the St. George campus. The position is a 9-month professional-track faculty role starting as early as spring Semester 2027.

The candidate will teach 30 credits annually across lower- and selected upper-division nursing courses, develop new courses, use Canvas, hold office hours, and advise students. Online/blended instruction is expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing required.
• Commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching.
• Ability to supervise and mentor undergraduates in scholarship and community impact.

Responsibilities

• Teach 30 credits per academic year (usually 15 credits/sem).
• Develop and teach courses in nursing aligned with background and expertise.
• Maintain course materials, syllabi, and learning outcomes.
• Hold office hours and advise program students.
• Attend department, college, and university meetings and perform other duties.
