Qualifications

• Hold a valid RN credential.
• Minimum 2 years experience working as a PN or RN.
• Bachelor degree in related field.
• Master's degree in related field (preferred).
• Experience teaching at a post-secondary level.
• Experience supervising lab skills and clinical rotations.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on instruction of clinical skills related to the role of Practical Nurse.
• Didactic instruction in scheduled classes and/or hybrid learning environments.
• Demonstrate clinical competence in all aspects of practical nurse roles.
• Follow established curriculum and clinical assessments.
• Supervise student efforts to ensure high level of patient care and safety.
• Monitor, evaluate & document student attendance and progress.
• Advise students on the program requirements and their progress through the courses.
• Provide an industry viewpoint to the training program so that students will be prepared to enter the workforce.
