Doctors Community seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing to join their team in Lanham, MD. The role serves as a clinical operations liaison, ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and budget oversight for nursing units in a long-term care setting.

The ideal candidate is a BSN‑level RN with 3+ years of clinical experience and 2+ years of supervision in long‑term care, including MDS knowledge and on‑call availability. This position offers comprehensive benefits and leadership growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license.
• Minimum 3 years full-time or equivalent clinical experience; at least 2 years' experience in nursing supervision in long-term care.
• Knowledge of the MDS process, state nurse practice acts, and state and federal regulations.
• On-call availability is required.

Responsabilités

• Serve as a clinical operational liaison between the nursing units and the Director of Nursing.
• Responsible for the quality of the clinical operations of the nursing units including compliance with Genesis policies and procedures, practice standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop, allocate and control the budget for the nursing department.
• Foster an environment of continuous improvement and mentor staff to achieve top of license practice.
• Assist with nurse staffing to include but not limited to performance evaluations, interviews and orientation of nurses.
